Melancon Electric Guitars
Gerard Melancon builds guitars the old fashioned way... one at a time. With a production plan of only 10 guitars per month, Gerard takes the time to select the finest tone woods and finishes off his guitars with personal attention to every single detail.
Legacy Music has a very limited supply of these custom guitars. I originally put these back for my own collection, but have decided to make them available.

Melancon P-90 Artist
The Melancon P-90 Artist is for the player looking for the hottest single coil tone that does not compromise high or low frequency response. This model is configured with specially designed P-90 Stacks in the neck and bridge positions. These pickups deliver that fat, punchy tone without the hum! To further enhance this "Tone Machine," Gerard wires in a 3-way mini toggle that allows for series, parallel and split wiring. A select mahogany body and neck is matched with a flamed Koa top. This combination ensures plenty of warmth in the lower mid-range, balanced by nice sparkle on the high end. The P-90 Artist model is offered in the single cut-away body only with a fixed bridge (strings through the body) and pau ferro fingerboard.
Melancon PRO Artist "T"
The tone of a single cut-away swamp ash guitar with a maple neck needs little introduction. Snap! Pop! Here chicky! Get the picture? Melancon Guitars incorporated all of the tweaks from Bakersfield to Nashville into the Pro Artist T. It’s like a ’57 Chevy with power steering and brakes!
